PALLET RACKS

In warehouses and distribution centers, pallet racks serve as an efficient storage system for palletized goods. Constructed from solid steel components, these shelves are designed to maximize storage space and help organize your inventory.

Pallet rack components include upright columns, cross members, and decks. Uprights provide vertical support and cross members connect the uprights to provide stability. A deck serves as a horizontal surface on which pallets can stand.

There are different types of pallet racking, such as selective racking, drive-in racking, push-in racking and pallet flow racking. Selective shelving is the most common type and facilitates individual access to pallets. Drive-in and push-back racking for high-density storage, and pallet-flow racking for optimized first-in, first-out inventory management.

When choosing a pallet racking system, it is important to consider the weight and size of the pallet, the height of the warehouse, and the type of material handling equipment involved. Proper installation and maintenance of pallet racks is also essential to their safety and longevity.
